Ans. One day while sitting in his mud palace, surrounded by fawning courtiers and watched by a multitude of people who had come to see him, he was suddenly overcome by a sense of grandeur and loudly declared that he was the master of the world and that all men were his servants.

Ans. The old man dared to tell the king that he was wrong because according to him, all good people are servants of one another.

Anger was his great weakness but his positive quality was that he looked after the demands of his people. He also had a keen sense of looking into people's qualities, So when he realized that the old man had intelligence, he retained him as his adviser.

Ans. There was a deathly silence because the subjects knew that the king was a proud and stern man and on his declaration that he was the master of the world and all men were his servants. The old man had dared to say that he was mistaken. The people present there became quiet out of the fear of the king's fury on being told that he was wrong.
